"Good standard of living for your pets"
In 2000, this campaign was launched with a view to appealing to the moral conscience of pets’ owners so as to convince them of the need for “responsible fatherhood" in order to prevent the birth of unwanted litters of young animals and to make people consider sterilization as a worthwhile option.
This campaign intends to remove false beliefs and taboos on the supposed change of mood experienced by sterilized animals, and gives explanations about the actual advantages of sterilization where the standard of living of dogs and cats is concerned.
The texts and images were created and supervised by professors from the Schools of Veterinary Medicine of the UAB (Autonomous University of Barcelona) and the UCM (Complutense University of Madrid.

- City Halls won’t have to finance kennels for abandoned animals
- They will be able to earmark the money thus saved for aid programmes for the needy population
- They will be able to help building ideal kennels
