Noa and her recovery process alongside her dogs

Dogs have helped Noa overcome bullying and her tendency for self-harm as part of her recovery process. To ease her difficult situation and aid in recovery, her therapist suggested contact with animals.

Noa was astonished to find that the dogs made her feel better. The animals’ unconditional company and the strong emotional bond she formed with them have been key in improving her emotional state.

Today, Noa appreciates the support she received from her mother and family in helping her cope with her problems and smiles when she talks about her special relationship with her dog Valder.

Noa, now 17, has become trained in Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT) to help other people, and in the future would love to help teenagers in the same situation as her.
